Dr. Divya Shokeen
Board-Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Shokeen went to the University of California, Los Angeles, as an undergraduate and graduated with a major in psychobiology with an interest in Biochemistry. She received her medical education on the east coast at the prestigious Drexel University College of Medicine, in Philadelphia, PA. Due to her leadership and scholarly excellence throughout medical school, she was awarded a research opportunity as a Dermatology pre-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania during her first and second year of medical school. Her leadership skills led her to be the Northeast Regional Director of the American Medical Student Association, where she worked towards universal health care laws.
Dr. Shokeen completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of California, Irvine, and returned to the east coast at the University of Florida. She was one of two to be elected as a National Cutis Resident Recipient, writing two quarterly articles for the national journal as well as the winner of the “Top 10 Resident Presentations” award at the Cosmetic surgery forum. Furthermore, in her last year of residency, Dr. Shokeen organized and led resident and medical student lectures and didactics.
Dr. Shokeen is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and Women’s Dermatology Society ( WDS). She has authored multiple publications in top peer-reviewed dermatology and dermatologic surgery journals and has been invited to speak and present her research at several national medical conferences.
